The Invisible Turnstile
from MiceCast · host Your Hosts, Greg and Mike
Disneyland quietly rolled out facial recognition at park entrances in December 2025 and fully deployed it across both parks on April 28, 2026. Guests (including children) were scanned for four months before Disney posted signs explaining an opt-out lane even existed. Disney says the data is deleted within 30 days and participation is voluntary. But when the opt-out lane is the hardest one to find and most guests had no idea they could refuse, how voluntary is it really? Guests deserve a more honest conversation about where their biometric data goes, who can access it, and whether a family theme park should be in the facial recognition business at all. 52 Minutes.
