The Invitation

What does your soul truly long for? In the opening message of the Holy Habits series, we begin not with techniques or spiritual checklists, but with desire. Drawing from Mark 10:46–52 and the story of blind Bartimaeus, this sermon invites us to listen to the deep longings of our hearts and to hear Jesus ask the question that changes everything: “What do you want me to do for you?” Jesus does not offer more religious activity, but a way of life shaped by his presence, pace, and grace. Through Scripture and reflection, we explore the mystery of spiritual transformation, the limits of self-effort, and the hope found in arranging our lives around holy habits that open us to God’s transforming work.
