And the Iraqi Ministry of Planning announced, today, Monday, that poverty indicators have risen in the country, and that it has completed a three-track reform plan concerned with developing remedies and finding solutions to reduce levels of inflation and economic contraction. A spokesman for the ministry, Abdul Zahra Al-Hindawi, said in a statement, that Al-Ain Al-Akhbariya obtained a copy of it, that "after raising the dollar exchange rate, the inflation index rose by 4.9 to 5%, while the primary poverty indicators increased by 26 to 27%." .
