Guest bio She was born in Istanbul in 1991. Feminist, lawyer. For more than 15 years, she has been working professionally and/or voluntarily in the field of women's and LGBTQI+ rights. She is currently the advocacy coordinator at the Women for Women's Human Rights Association. She received her LL.M. in International Human Rights Law from Lund University and her PhD in Public Law from Koç University. Her research focuses on human rights law, philosophy of law, legal theory and gender studies. She is also a musician and plays drums. In the community, she serves as the Executive Director of Maristan.org, a holistic mental health nonprofit serving Muslim communities, and the Director of The Rahmah Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to educating Muslim women and girls. In addition, she is faculty of Islamic Psychology at Cambridge Muslim College and The Islamic Seminary of America.She is also a Senior Fellow for Yaqeen Institute and the Institute of Social Policy and Understanding.
