The Jackie Stiles Story: The basketball legend talks Portland, the WNBA and her legacy

There are some names in the sports world that deserve to be said, and remembered, forever. Jackie Stiles fits that description. On the latest episode of Sports by Northwest, columnist Bill Oram and sports editor Joel Odom chat with the women's basketball hall of famer about her life and her career. Stiles is the subject of a new documentary called "The Jackie Stiles Story." The documentary is streaming online but it will be shown live at the Portland Film festival starting next week. Her story, in its totality, is incredible. Stiles was an NCAA legend who held the all-time scoring record for years. She was a cult figure (think Steph Curry meetings Pistol Pete) who drew massive crowds to her games in small town Kansas and then at Southwest Missouri State in college. She went on to a brief career with the now-defunct Portland Fire of the WNBA before a series of devastating injuries ended her career far too soon.
