The JaK Attack! Episode 2018.46

What this episode covers

Welcome to show number 2018.46 It’s sooooo hot in Canada. And everywhere. 30C/86F around here. Jon is learning more about data centers than he ever wanted to. Kelly has been going to a lot of Plein Air art festivals. 07:00 – Kelly’s Corner We just want to apologize to Denmark now. Kelly tells us about some technologies that simply will not exist in 20 years. Cell phone towers is the most interesting thing on the list…? The Seiko Kinetic watch is still a thing. Who knew? Clone #2 does not get paid as much as Brad Pitt would. 30:00 – Jon talks about Boxcryptor There are far to many cloud storage providers. Pros: hooks into your existing cloud service provider and encrypts your stuff. Cons: There is no way to rename or delete a file on the iOS that you’ve added to Boxcryptor via the Boxcryptor app. You need to use the native (Dropbox, etc) app for that…??? Seems your key is stored on the Boxcryptor services (but it is encrypted). Not clear what happens when your yearly subscription expires. 48:40 – Cooperstown news Dog Wild hosts a second dog adoption day! 51:20 – Shout Outs and Bork Outs Kelly hates Alignable Express VPN is our show sponsor and we have a one year subscription to win.
