For over 50 years, Padgett has been serving small businesses all over North America. Locally, Gainesville owner Janet Kaup has devoted herself to advising entrepreneurs in an effort toprovide peace of mind, maximize the business owner’s wealth, and bring understanding to an area that is often difficult to understand – taxation. Padgett’s aim is to provide tax and accounting advisory services coupled with full service payroll options that allow business owners to focus their efforts on accomplishing the goals that matter most to them. This mission began for Janet in 1998 with employment at Padgett as an accounting student working at the front desk as an associate accountant while earning her degree. Janet believes in coupling a positive mental attitude with constant goal setting and measurement, alongside a strong workethic. She purchased the Hall County Padgett franchise in 2002 as the youngest Padgett franchise buyer to date. In 2009 she purchased the Gwinnett County territory. Janet’s practicehas ranked in the Top 10 Padgett firms every year since 2003, and she was awarded the Padgett Office of the Year award in 2013 and inducted into the Padgett Hall of Fame in 2014.Every year since 2016, she received the Outstanding Growth award. In 2019 she received the Chairman’s Award for practice Growth – one of the highest honors in the company.
