The Jesse Tree is an Advent tradition during the days leading up to Christmas. It is meant to be done as a daily family devotional, or with a group.Advent is a time of preparing and waiting. The word "advent" means "coming." The Jesse tree is named from Isaiah 11:1: "Then a shoot will spring up out of the stump of Jesse, and a branch will grow out of his roots."
