The Jewel of Seven Stars Chapter 1 - A Summons in the Night

In which the narrator is roused from slumber by an urgent summons from Margaret Trelawny, who implores his assistance amidst a grave and mysterious affliction upon her father. Upon arrival at the grand Trelawny residence, the narrator observes the sombre scene of wound and strange jewellery, while the interplay of police and medical inquiry begins to unfold with a delicate air of unease.
