Continuing our series on the "other" dynasties and kingdoms and co-existed with the Song Dynasty, which we typically think of as the mainline Chinese regime of this period, we look at the Jin Empire.The Jurchen people rose up against the Khitan Liao Empire in the early 12th century and established their own empire and called it the Jin.
