The Joy of Discipleship John 15 March 30, 2025

Trying to make and grow disciples can be difficult and disappointing.  It can result in rejection and persecution.  Why would we go through all the trouble of  making disciples and teaching disciples if it can be so hurtful? For one thing, we’re called and commanded to do it. Secondly, Jesus did it.  Thirdly, people’s souls are at stake. Beyone these reasons, we seek to lead people to Christ and help them become more like Him because there is great joy in it.  Jesus promises us great rewards in following Him and making disciples.  One of the main ones is joy!
