00:00 When we found out last night that the Department of Justice had uh indicted the Southern Poverty Law Center, we did not realize at that time exactly how big this is. It is massive. 11 count indictments, six counts of wire fraud, four counts of false statements to a federally insured bank, one count of conspiracy to commit concealment, money laundering. These people were funneling money to groups that they were supposed to be against. 00:30 like the KKK, Aryan Nations, National Socialist Party of America, United Clans of America, and other white supremacist and neo-Nazi organizations, even the ones responsible for the Unite the Right rally in Charlottesville. One of the groups that they labeled a hate group at the Southern Poverty Law Center is Moms for Liberty. Megan Dunn is with Moms for Liberty, and she calls us right now. Megan, welcome. How are you? 01:00 Hi, Charlie, how are you? I'm good. How did you feel when you heard about this indictment of the Southern Poverty Law Center? 01:09 Well, I was laughing. Yeah. I mean, sorry. You know, funny, not funny, right? Yeah. Just to think of all the crazy, just how absurd it all is, you know? mean, technically, if we really want to go there, Monster Liberty is actually nonpartisan. ah I mean, obviously, the majority of us are, yes, very conservative, but we're nonpartisan. And some of us around the country, you know, we have to work with. 01:36 you know, Democrats and others, you know, we have to cross the aisle towards others that we might not want to necessarily if we want to get things done, you know, to protect children and improve education. some of us really pride ourselves on being able to work with others that we normally wouldn't and have been able to really build bridges and m kind of come to the middle and, you know, agree to disagree on some things, but um work together on issues that we can all agree on. So. 02:04 I hate to say that I'm laughing about it, but it's the truth. but it, but it is, it's, it's laughable. mean, this is a group that was, they couldn't find enough hate out there. So they had to go pay people to do it for them. Right. Yeah. I didn't even, this sounds bad, but I didn't even know the KKK was still a thing. That's how naive I am. I'm like, oh, they're still a thing. Okay. So when, when the SPLC labeled moms for Liberty as a hate group, I mean, did you see any changes within the organization? 02:36 I think it just makes us wanna prove ourselves even further, like you said, to show that we're not like that. mean, and this sounds, I don't know, some people might not agree with this, but I think it makes us tougher and gives us a thicker skin. A lot of us have gotten a thicker skin and been able to laugh at this stuff because it's just so, like we said, absurd, but just, you know, most of us are just moms and parents. mean, I'm in the car most of the time, you know, taking the kids to school and all. 03:06 activities and working and volunteering at school. I'm like, do I look like a neo-Nazi or a hateful person? No, I'm not. And if you got to, if we all got to know each other, we would see that's not the case. So yeah, it's, it's, you know, kind of driven us more in a way. these indictments, does that give you ladies some sort of vindication? 03:29 Yeah, but it's also kind of scary to think about how people can infiltrate like that and to think about the people that don't, you know, use their God given discernment to look past some of the headlines and some of the kind of no offense, but corporate media. Yeah. you know, especially some of the older generations that my own mother, she's gonna be 80 years old and she's like, Oh my gosh, I saw on CBS last night, this and this.
