The Ketogenic Diet's Impact on Lymphedema

In January 2017, Dr. Melissa Garcia Caballero joined Prof. Peter Carmeliet's prestigious laboratory in Leuven, Belgium, to investigate the therapeutic role of ketone body supplementation in lymphedema.The exciting findings from this study garnered interest among clinicians and led to the initiation of a collaborative translational clinical Phase II trial (KetoLymph) to test the ketogenic diet's therapeutic potential in cancer patients who develop lymphedema.Dr. García Caballero, co-author of over 35 scientific publications, is also a professor at the University of Málaga in Spain.
