The Key to It All?
from Catholic Communicators Hosted by Angela Sealana
Which lost art can actually change society today? Have we been neglecting the missing piece all along? Philip Couture, Director of Formation for Christ In the City (CiC), shares experience and wisdom gained from his years of serving people’s needs — from the Andes Mountains to the streets of Denver. You’re invited into a conversation spanning these questions and more, including: * What is the deepest weakness of our society, and how do we address it? * Why does the Catholic Church have a “preferential option for the poor” when God doesn’t play favorites? What does it mean? How does it affect “everyone else”? * How do we practically accompany people, even when it’s especially challenging? You’ll also hear from three other folks. Thank you to Christ In the City for generously allowing us to clip interviews with friends from the street, and thank you to Ron, Jessica, and Chuck for sharing their stories. Hear their full interviews and learn more about CiC’s ministry at https://christinthecity.org or their podcast, “Homeless but Human.” What’s Next… * Did this episode inspire you?
