On Sept. 7th, 1996, Tupac Shakur, age 25, was shot in a drive-by after leaving a boxing match at the MGM Grand on the Las Vegas strip. He was sitting in a black BMW sedan with Suge Knight, the head of his record label, when a white Cadillac pulled up alongside and a gunman opened fire, striking Tupac multiple times.
