The King is Here: Moving Towards Dependence

This week’s message centered on the rich young ruler and Jesus’ invitation to “come, follow me,” highlighting how surrender is not about losing, but about making room for something greater—intimacy with Christ.   We explored how Jesus isn’t after our performance, but our hearts. Like the young man, we’re often held back by what we won’t release, yet Jesus looks at us with love and calls us to trust Him. Following Him means letting go of our grip on control, possessions, and pride so that we can live in the fullness of His way.
