The Kingdom of God is here (Matthew 4:12-17)

Jesus’ ministry begins with a rather rocky start – in His hometown of Nazareth, He is almost thrown off a cliff because of how he spoke in the synagogue, information that they were not ready to receive that He is the one who has come as the Messiah. Moving now to Capernaum, Jesus fulfills the prophecy of Isaiah that a great light has been seen in Galilee of the Gentiles. We also will have Jesus calling the people to repent, picking up from where John left off, now that John the Baptist is in prison. In this sermon, we will discuss what repentance actually means and how we can apply it to both sharing the gospel with those who do not believe and also apply to our own lives as we go on with a mind changed to serve God instead of serving our old former ways.
