Jane Kuria had three children, two daughters and a son. They were originally from Kenya but moved to the United States after Jane's husband died and their home burned down. Jane wanted to escape the practice of female genital mutilation in Kenya. She and her husband were very vocal in their opposition to the practice. Join Mike and Gibby as they discuss the Kuria family murders. On July 29th, 2007, Jane was enjoying a visit from some of her family who lived in Kenya. Jane was at home with her children and a young cousin. They were all brutally attacked while they slept. Jane's son and the cousin survived, but Jane and her two daughters were murdered.
