The Lady of the Dunes

from True Crime All The Time Unsolved

On July 26, 1974, a woman's mutilated body was found at the Race Point Dunes in Provincetown, Massachusetts. It's been almost 48 years, and the police have not been about to identify the woman or her killer. Join Mike and Gibby as they discuss the mysterious case of The Lady of the Dunes. The mutilation of the body appeared to be a clear attempt to make it difficult to identify this individual. Both of the woman's hands and some her teeth were removed. There was even an attempt to sever the head. There have been many theories over the years as to both her identity and the killer. One theory is that she was an extra on the movie Jaws and another theory is that infamous mobster Whitey Bulger was the killer.
