The Last Detail Its part 11 of 12 celebrating 1973 and we have good old Jack Nicholson to smile and raise an eyebrow through the whole of this episode. Yes its the 1973 film The Last Detail also starring a very youn (and sane) Randy Quaid and Otis Young.  The film is a journey from Navy base to Navy prison as Signalman 1st Class Billy Buddusky and Gunners mate 1st Class Richard Mulhall escort young prisoner seaman Laurence Meadows to his final destination (well for 8 years) due to him attempting to steal $40.
