The Last Room on Remington Road

from The Recommended Tab — Fexingo Horror · host Fexingo

In the summer of 2019, I spent two weeks house-sitting for my aunt in the small town of Carthage, Missouri. Her house was at the end of Remington Road, a gravel lane that dead-ended into a wall of oak trees. The neighbors were few and far between. The first night, I found a key on the kitchen counter that I didn't recognize. It was old, brass, with a red tag that said '1730' in faded marker. I thought nothing of it until the fourth night, when I heard footsteps coming from the basement. Not the creak of old pipes — deliberate, heavy footsteps, like someone walking from one end of a room to another. I checked the basement door. It was locked. And the key I'd found? It fit perfectly. What I found down there is something I still can't explain. I haven't been back to Carthage since. But sometimes, late at night, I hear those same footsteps in my own apartment. #FexingoHorror #HorrorPodcast #TheRecommendedTab #CarthageMissouri #BasementHorror #AtticDoor #OldKey #FootstepsInTheNight #HouseSittingNightmare #SmallTownSecrets #WhatWasThat #TheRedTag #RemingtonRoad #1730 #LunaReads #TrueHorror #ParanormalEncounter #PodcastHorror #CreepyVideos #VideoHorror Keep every episode free: buymeacoffee.com/fexingo
