The Last Word

The book of Jonah ends not with the prophet's answer but with God's question, "And should not I pity Nineveh?", left hanging in the air for every reader to answer. In this final message of our Jonah series, we watch God pursue a sulking, bitter prophet through a plant, a worm, and a wind, until the question of His mercy presses all the way to the cross, where the Father did not spare His own Son. Come and hear how the God who spared a wicked city presses that same question home at the cross, and answers it there Himself.
