Send us Fan MailThe Lead Mask Deaths refers to a mysterious and unsolved case from 1966 in Niterói, Brazil, where the bodies of two Brazilian electronics technicians, Manoel Pereira da Cruz and Miguel José Viana, were found on a hillside wearing formal suits, waterproof coats, and peculiar lead eye masks. Near the bodies were a notebook with cryptic instructions and empty water bottles. No signs of violence or struggle were found, and toxicology reports were inconclusive due to decomposition. The bizarre circumstances, including the lead masks (presumed to protect from radiation or light), have led to widespread speculation, involving everything from scientific experiments and spiritual rituals to UFO theories.
