Near the bodies were a notebook with cryptic instructions and empty water bottles. No signs of violence or struggle were found, and toxicology reports were inconclusive due to decomposition. The bizarre circumstances, including the lead masks (presumed to protect from radiation or light), have led to widespread speculation, involving everything from scientific experiments and spiritual rituals to UFO theories.
