The Leap Home

(Recorded on June 1, 2025) Up this week is the final episode of the 1991, cult classic tv show Dark Shadows, that we’re lovingly calling, “The Leap Home.” While Victoria sits in her jail cell, Joshua and Peter are the defying the laws of time and distance to get a stay of execution from the Governor. Naomi hears her son calling to her through his portrait and finds him crying in the old house. Abigail gets her just deserts (and Barnabas just gets dessert). We finally find out what happened to Sarah (it’s not good). Barnabas and Ben team up one last time and it has Reverend Trask doing backsies on that whole “Victoria Winters is a witch thing.” Peter hand delivers a letter to the judge exonerating his client but things are never that simple when Angelique is around. Barnabas wants his father to put him out of his misery, but Joshua can’t bring himself to do it. In 1991, Angelique has found a new host and poor Phyllis is the object of her rage. Victoria resigns herself to he fate, but there’s a last ditch effort in 1991 to try and get her home. Plus, Meaghan uses some witchcraft of her own, George does the Stonk, and we talk 18th century medicine—it’s surprising anyone made it out alive!
