The Lee Metcalf Photograph and Film Collection Project

In 2012, the Montana Historical Society received a two-year grant to organize, describe, and preserve Senator Lee Metcalf's photograph and film collections. Matthew Peek, photograph archivist for the project, discusses the background of Senator Metcalf and the history of the two collections. Peek details interesting aspects of Senator Metcalf's work and life; shows rarely seen photographs and film segments from the collection; and explains what archivists need to do in order to provide the public with collections of primary historic materials. www.montanahistoricalsociety.org
