Have you ever wondered if what you define as 'normal' is merely a collective illusion recognized by the majority? Gao Ming, the author of *The Left Brain, The Right Brain*, spent four years visiting psychiatric hospitals and law enforcement systems, engaging in in-depth conversations with over 200 patients with mental illness. He turned these encounters into a mind-bending book that challenges conventional perceptions. Some readers have seen the blurred boundaries of physics and philosophy in the book, others uncovered the essence of loneliness and connection, while some began seriously questioning for the first time: Are they the ones who have gone mad, or are we all trapped in a cage called 'normal'? In this episode of Delusion, we’ll dive into this book and discuss the undefined line between madness and clarity.
Key Highlights of This Episode:
1. Who defines the boundaries of normality?
The patients described in the book possess rigorous internal logic. Their worlds—from four-dimensional space with worms, the ant cell theory, to the slow-time theory of stones—are self-consistent and complete. This forces us to ask: Is the line of 'normal' drawn by scientific discovery, or is it merely a societal agreement?
2. Loneliness is the beginning of madness.
The gap between genius and madness may not be intelligence, but rather connection. Those hearts confined to their own worlds, unable to find understanding, are not problematic because of their thoughts, but because their thoughts have no outlet for acceptance. Loneliness shapes the contours of that world.
3. Our reality is also just a consensus.
If my world makes complete sense to me, why should your world be considered more 'real' than mine? This question is not only a philosophical dilemma for psychiatric patients but also a question anyone might encounter during a sleepless night.

Inception Point Ai Target off target? Woke Christmas Ornaments Spark Outrage- Good business or total delusion? Target, a well-known American retail corporation, has come under fire for its recent decision to sell Christmas ornaments that feature diverse families and Christmas traditions. While some have praised the company for its efforts to be more inclusive, others have expressed outrage, calling the ornaments "woke" and "anti-Christmas." The controversy began when Target released a line of Christmas ornaments that included images of Black Santa Clauses, same-sex couples, and Muslim families celebrating Christmas. Some customers took to social media to express their disapproval, using hashtags such as #BoycottTarget and #NotMyChristmas. "This is just another example of Target trying to shove its liberal agenda down our throats," said one angry customer on Twitter. "I'm done shopping at Target." Others defended Target's decision, arguing that the company is simply trying to reflect the diversity o
