Spectating didn’t last long because they soon built a car and were racing by 1971. Betty got her turn in the driver seat when she drove thier Datsun Comp Coup before she landed a seat in George Fields Comp Coup. In 2003, she set a record and got in the Bonneville 200 MPH Club a month before her 63rd birthday! Currently she is a crew member for two teams on the salt and you can always find her friendly face helping at the Bonneville 2 Club booth.
