We cannot attempt to understand the meaning of the crucifixion without paying attention to how Jesus understood his death. Jesus interprets the meaning of his crucifixion by saying it will accomplish three things:1. It will judge the world.2. It will cast out the ruler of the world.3. It will draw the whole world to him.
