The Liberty Yell #131: Draft Day Looming & The June 23rd Trade Explosion

The Liberty Yell is back for Episode 131! With the fanbase (and me) having some fun with the Flyers trade history on June 23rd, other teams throughout the NHL decided to join in on the fun and cause some chaos! And I'm here to break down all the trades that have happened since the June 16th Joseph Woll to Philadelphia trade.    I kicked things off by going over the funny (and ironic) graphic my edit guy, Johnny, made for National June 23rd Flyers Trade Day. Brayden Schenn for Morgan Frost, Jori Lehtera, and Joel Farabee on 2017 draft day? Memories. Then we dive into the sheer amount of trades from OTHER NHL teams on the Flyers day... Simon Nemec to CGY, William Eklund to Ottawa, Jordan Kyrou to Washington, and Bo Byram to Chicago. We also get into who I like for the Flyers, with where they SHOULD be drafting (21st overall). Maddox Dagenais, Xavier Villeneuve, Tommy Bleyl, Ilia Morozov, Alexander Command, or Elon Hermansson? Could Malte Gustafasson fall? I talk about it at length!    Garnet Hathaway to the Panthers, Jason Robertson saying no to Seattle and St. Louis tonight, and Mason McTavish getting closed on by the Rangers or Blues.
