The Lies I Was Told

from She Lives Truth · host Maribel Soto Ramirez

Hi Friend! I just want to say that Freedom looks good on you. Was that a smile? I thought so.  Listen, Healing cannot happen until the lies are exposed. In this episode, we build on the last conversation about admitting the truth of what happened and why that honesty gives us the courage to uncover the lies that followed. After trauma, abuse, betrayal, or living in survival mode, false beliefs can quietly shape our thinking. Lies often sound familiar, logical, or even protective: “It was my fault." "I’m too broken to change." "God doesn’t really see me." Or "This is just how life is." But anything that contradicts God’s Word is not truth even if it feels true. In this episode, we explore how lies take root after pain, why unchallenged lies keep us stuck emotionally and spiritually, how to identify them, and how to hold them up against Scripture. We also unpack the connection between lies, fear, shame, and survival behaviors and how truth opens the door to real healing and freedom. You'll want to bring a notebook to take notes.
