Corey Parker (1965–2026) was a versatile American actor and highly respected acting coach whose career spanned over five decades. Born on July 8, 1965, in New York City, he was immersed in the world of performing arts from a young age. The son of actress Rocky Parker, he began his professional journey at age four, appearing in television commercials. He later refined his skills at the High School of Performing Arts and became a dedicated member of the Actors Studio and the Ensemble Studio Theater.Parker’s film career gained significant momentum in the 1980s. He is well-remembered by horror fans for his role as Pete in Friday the 13th Part V: A New Beginning (1985). He earned critical praise for his portrayal of Arnold B. Epstein in the 1988 film Biloxi Blues, an adaptation of the Neil Simon play. His other film credits include a variety of roles in productions such as 9½ Weeks, White Palace, and the lead role of Marlon Browne in the 1989 comedy How I Got into College.On television, Parker was a frequent presence in both starring and recurring roles. In the early 1990s, he starred as Neil Barash in the sitcom Flying Blind opposite Téa Leoni. He also delivered a memorable performance as Lee Owens in the series thirtysomething, participating in a groundbreaking and controversial 1989 episode. Many viewers recognize him for his recurring role in Will & Grace, where he played Josh, a bohemian character who dated Grace Adler during the show's second season.
