The Life & Ministry of St. Paul, Introduction

Listen in on our weekly Bible Study at St. James Lutheran Church. We're beginning a study of the life and ministry of St. Paul, his missionary journeys. To set the scene, we look at Daniel 2 and the dream that the King of Babylon had. Daniel interprets this dream as a prophesy of the rise and fall of four nations (Babylon, Persia, Greece, and Rome), and of the coming of the Kingdom of Christ, which fills the whole earth. St. Paul's ministry is part of the fulfillment of this prophecy of the coming of Christ's Kingdom, and his journeys take him into the landscape, history, and culture of Greece and Rome.
