The Life of a Redeemed People

Exodus 20:1-21 Have you ever had to learn how to live differently after a major change? A major transition can reshape us in ways we do not always recognize at first. A move to a new place, a change in our family, a new responsibility, or walking through a significant loss can require us to learn a new way of living because our old patterns no longer fit our new reality. Last week Pastor Phil unpacked how God brought Israel to Mount Sinai and declared who they were: His treasured possession, a kingdom of priests, and a holy nation. God spoke a new identity over them. They were no longer slaves of Pharaoh; they belonged to Yahweh. But a new identity requires a new way of life. Israel had been rescued from Egypt, but they still needed to learn how to live as the people God had created them to be. What does it mean to live as the people God has formed us to be?
