The Life of David: 1 Sam. 22 | David at Adullam

David is now in full flight from Saul and Saul is in full pursuit of David. Vs 1-5 zero in on David’s new home and family in the Wilderness. Vs 6-23 shift the focus to Saul’s horrific massacre of the priests of the LORD and their families. In this chapter I pray we can catch the wonderful rays of the Son of David shining forth from the narrative. Doctrine: The King gathers souls to Himself  1Sa 22:22a  And everyone who was in distress, everyone who was in debt, and everyone who was discontented gathered to him ... Q: Who does the King gather to Himself?1.
