Luke 2:8-12 Christmas is God choosing the mess that the world refuses. The good news first came to lowly, looked down upon, shepherds – outsiders who became the first evangelists. Their story declares that good news of great joy – salvation in Jesus Christ – will be for all the people. In Christ, true joy is found – not in circumstance, but in the presence of the Savior who came for our messy lives.
