The Light Shines in the Darkness

*Reflection questions below. As we reflect on this past year and pray about the year ahead, we are reminded of the overarching truth that the Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness does not overcome it. Reflect: 1. What do you regret from the past year? (Keep the focus on things you wish you would have done differently)  May you receive the forgiveness and peace of Jesus Christ.  2. What was out of your control that you wish was different? Or perhaps what have you lost, what have you or are you grieving?  Take a moment to name this in God’s presence.  3. Where have you seen the Light shinning in your story this year, where has Christ encountered you? What has your awareness of God’s presence looked like this year? How has it been nurtured and how has it been smothered? Take a moment to realize that even now, God is with you.  4. Where was the good this year, what are you grateful for?  5. What are you hoping for this year? What do you need to remove from your life? What do you need to add? What is God asking you to pick up, what is God asking you to let go of? Take these to God with the phrase, With God’s Help.  Prayer: Ask God for Faith. Ask for for Hope .Ask for for Love. Sit in silence.
