South Carolina State Library has launched a new campaign, Connecting State Government to Information Resources; In late July, more than 25 University of South Carolina Gamecock football players and mascot Cocky took the field at the Richland County Public Library in Columbia to emphasize the importance of summer reading; The Director of the South Carolina State Library, David Goble, and State Library board member, Dr. B.G. Stephens, recently visited the Union County Carnegie Library to deliver a State Library Board of Trustee's proclamation congratulating the library on receiving Library Journal's highest recognition of excellence for a small public library in the United States; The South Carolina Academy of Authors is pleased to announce The Carrie McCray Nickens Fellowship in Poetry; The World?s Largest Commercial Jigsaw Puzzle is on Display at Greenville's Hughes Main Library; This edition's featured web site is Knowitall.org.
