The Little Scroll

Last Sunday, we took a look at the first six trumpet judgments. These were set in motion by the opening of the seventh seal on the scroll that Jesus took from the Father in Revelation 5. Those trumpet judgments were: 1st Trumpet: Hail and Fire Mixed with Blood 2nd Trumpet: Huge Mountain Ablaze Thrown into the Sea 3rd Trumpet: Wormwood 4th Trumpet: A Third of the Sun, Moon, and Stars Struck 5th Trumpet: Demonic Locusts (1st Woe) 6th Trumpet: Release of the Four Angels (2nd Woe) We finished off last week’s message by looking at the idea that Lost People Love Their Lostness. As Christ-followers, we should seek to praise the Lord for His mercy by drawing us from darkness to His light! Today and next Sunday, we will take a look at a section of Scripture between the sixth and seventh trumpets. Our message is from Revelation 10:1-11 and is titled: “The Little Scroll” Our points will be: There are Things that We Don’t Need to Know When the Time Comes, Nothing Will Delay It God’s Word should be Devoured and Applied Main Scripture: Revelation 10:1-11 Supporting Texts: Matthew 5:37, Genesis 9:13, Exodus 34:29, Revelation 1:11, Daniel 8:26, Daniel 12:7, Daniel 12:6, Ephesians 1:9-10, Ezekiel 3:1-3, Ezekiel 3:18-19, John 6:53, John 6:55 Diving Deeper. After listening to today's message, consider asking yourself the following questions: Are you afraid to see, wear, or talk about a rainbow? Explain. Why are we as people so nosey? Are you ALWAYS looking for Christ to return? Explain. Does the modern church love the ways of the world? Explain. Do you “devour and apply” God’s Word? If not, what needs to change for this to happen?
