The Liverpool.com podcast: Diogo Jota gives Liverpool ‘dream scenario’ that Pep Guardiola and Man City can’t predict

Diogo Jota has handed Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp a significant team selection dilemma heading into Sunday’s huge Premier League clash at Manchester City.Jota scored a hat-trick in the Champions League in midweek and there are calls for the Portuguese to start at the Etihad in place of Roberto Firmino. So this week’s Liverpool.com podcast, guest-hosted by Matt Addison and featuring regulars Joel Rabinowitz and Ollie Connelly, answers that question.Jota’s wasn’t the only brilliant performance in the 5-0 win at Atalanta with the panel also assessing superb showings from Rhys Williams, Joe Gomez, Curtis Jones, as well as Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah, who partnered the man-of-the-moment in attack.Should Joel Matip and Thiago Alcantara (if fit) return against Manchester City? Joel and Ollie have their say while also paying tribute to Gini Wijnaldum and how he’s going about his business at a time when his future at Anfield appears uncertain. The Liverpool Echo sends a twice-daily Liverpool FC bulletin out via email with the all latest news, views and analysis from Anfield.
