Thank you to Patricia for continuing to commission this book! I'm stoked that this series of chapters is all focused on Christopher's magical education, because I'm very eager for him to finally prove himself. Christopher is not happy living at Chrestomanci castle. He's the only young person there, nobody really cares about talking to him or entertaining him, the magic built into the place is oppressive, and he's not allowed off the grounds due to the magical barriers. Even though his tutor is a sweet, reasonable guy, Christopher can't make himself pleasant and it's taking a toll. Also, he dies two more times. Honestly, Christopher, you are just hopeless.
