This section, it turns out that the Chrestomanci's people have found out that Tacroy (aka Mordecai) was one of the Wraiths, and they are questioning him very closely but he manages to really cover for Christopher and nobody suspects his involvement at all. This is curious since Chrestomanci knows that Christopher has been spirit traveling, but hey. Speaking of, the Godden tricks him and gets him stuck in a wall until she can bully him into helping her figure out what happens after her stint as the goddess is over...turns out that they're totally gonna kill her.
