Through the prophet Ezekiel, God reveals the sins that have made His own people more wicked than the surrounding nations. God shows Ezekiel in a vision what is happening in the temple itself—idolatry and detestable acts that have driven God's presence away. Though God had sent prophet after prophet, pleading for repentance, the people refused. The judgment they now face is not a failure of God's love—but a result of their rebellion.
