The Lord Directs Our Steps

“A man’s heart deviseth his way: but the LORD directeth his steps.”Proverbs 16:9We all make plans. We set goals, organise our days, and think carefully about the direction we want our lives to take. Planning is not wrong; in fact, it is often a wise and responsible thing to do. Yet Proverbs 16:9 reminds us that while we may plan our course, it is the Lord who ultimately directs our steps.God’s guidance is often seen not only in the doors He opens but also in the doors He closes. There are times when our carefully laid plans are interrupted by unexpected events, delays, or disappointments. In those moments, we can either become frustrated or trust that our heavenly Father knows a better path than we do.Walking with God means holding our plans with open hands. We should prayerfully prepare, diligently work, and wisely plan, but we must also remain willing for the Lord to redirect us according to His perfect wisdom. His ways are always higher than ours, and His purposes are always good for those who love Him.Today, commit your plans to the Lord. Ask Him not only to bless your path but to change it if necessary. There is great peace in knowing that the One who directs your steps never makes a mistake.PrayerHeavenly Father, thank You for guiding my life with perfect wisdom.
