Responding in Faith and Gratitude When faced with a vast army, King Jehoshaphat did not rely on his own strength or military strategies. Instead, he turned to the Lord, proclaiming, "The Lord fights for you" (2 Chronicles 20:17). The people of Judah responded with faith and gratitude, bowing down and worshiping the Lord. As they went into battle, Jehoshaphat appointed singers to go before the army, praising God, saying, "Give thanks to the Lord; his faithful love endures forever!" (2 Chronicles 20:21). As they sang and praised, the Lord set ambushes against their enemies, causing confusion and defeat.
