The Lord of the Sabbath | The Book of Matthew: The King and His Kingdom | Matthew 12:1-8 | Pastor J. M. Lee

Welcome to the Mission Church podcast! In this week’s sermon, Pastor J.M. Lee returns to our series, The King and His Kingdom, with a powerful message from Matthew 12:1–8. As Jesus and His disciples walk through grainfields on the Sabbath, they confront the rigid legalism of the Pharisees, revealing the heart of God’s law. Pastor Lee challenges us to recognize that true faith is not about rule-keeping or striving to earn God’s favor but about resting in the grace, mercy, and freedom found in Christ. Join us as we explore what it means for Jesus to be the Lord of the Sabbath and how we, as citizens of His kingdom, can live free from the burdens of legalism and extend His mercy to others. Be inspired to start 2025 by letting go of striving and embracing the true rest only Jesus provides! To learn more about Mission Church check out www.missionlasvegas.com.
