The Lord's Anointed

This sermon explores Psalm 2 as a divine proclamation of the futility of human rebellion against God's appointed King. It identifies Jesus Christ as the sole fulfillment of the psalm's prophecies, emphasizing his eternal sonship, universal dominion, and the victory achieved through his resurrection. The message contrasts the madness of resisting divine authority with the wisdom of submitting to Christ, who offers perfect refuge and true blessedness. Listeners are urged to recognize the security found in being united with the victorious King, who has conquered sin and death. The sermon concludes with a pastoral call to serve the Lord with reverent joy, trusting in his unchanging sovereignty and gracious provision for his people.
