The Lord's Prayer. What does it mean to forgive?

It can be hard to forgive people! It is easy to nurse a grudge or resentment. But Jesus invites us to forgive others, and even says that we will not experience the full forgiveness of God unless we forgive others.  But what does it mean to forgive?
