The Lost Boys (1987)

from Cult Macabre Hosted by Cult Macabre

Today we discuss Joel Schumacher's comedy-horror cult classic, The Lost Boys. In the film, teenage brothers Sam and Michael move to the fictional town of Santa Carla, California with their mom and slowly find out that it is a home to a gang of vampires who seek to grow their "family." Inspiring future synthwave artists and rock bands with its sleek soundtrack, this is truly considered to be the "rockstar" of vampire films. It also launched the career of Corey Haim, established the beginning of the "Two Coreys" (Corey Haim and Corey Feldman), and cemented Kiefer Sutherland as a major player in Hollywood.
