Emma Webster’s landscape paintings teleport viewers into the otherworldly. The places she depicts, convincing and hallucinatory, merge spatial expectations with mystifying fantasy. As a twenty-first century landscape painter, she subverts convention. She is nevertheless a dedicated student of the Masters.
