The Lovers

All music and lyrics by Ruben du Pon 04-2019 She falls down and doesn't know how to get up He comes running, but he can't stop Her tears. She says "the bitterness it flows. The darkness in my heart, besides you, darling, no one knows." He lies down and he holds her in his arms. He says "Honey, I'll switch off your alarms." And then he puts his lips on hers, Their misery subsides as everything outside them blurs. Even in the darkest weather - Even in the blackest storm - The lovers stay together; The lovers stay strong. Even in the darkest weather - Even in the blackest storm - The lovers stay together; The lovers stay strong And pretend there's nothing wrong. They pretend there's nothing wrong. Even in the darkest weather - Even in the blackest storm - The lovers stay together; The lovers stay strong.
